Sophia's Here!!!

Well after a difficult past couple of months our baby girl arrived 3wks 1day early on August 30, 2010 at 6:42pm, weighing 7lbs even and was 20 inches long!!! She and I spent 4 days in the hospital but now are both doing well.
I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and when I went for my regular OB visit on the 30th toxemia had begun to set in so the doctor decided it was time to deliver! After a very difficult delivery, she arrived naturally. She is well worth everything my body has been through being pregnant and getting her here. I didn't realize how serious my condition was at the time but if I had I would have taken more precautions and listened to the doctors a little more when they told me bed rest! She is so precious and we are truly blessed. Caleb is in love with his baby sister and he really wants to take care of her. We're so thankful.
We decided on dropping the second middle name as it was a lot for such a little person! Her full name is Sophia Jean Dintelman. Of course the Jean is after my mom and brother who passed away and I know she will carry that name well.
Hope all is well with everyone! We're very busy obviously but I will try to update as much as I can!

Sophia Jean Anneliese Dintelman

Here are a couple of pictures from our 3D ultrasound we had done a couple of weeks ago. Miss Sophia is breach so it was hard to get good pictures of her because she has her feet and hands in her face. LOL. She just did not want her picture taken! Already takes after her mom! We think she really resembles her big brother from the shots we did get so she's obviously going to be adorable!! Only 8 weeks left and hopefully she'll be making her appearance. We can not wait to meet her!!!!

Time Flies...When you're moving!

WOW, what an eventful few months it has been! I was offered a new job with United HealthCare and we relocated ourselves to Springfield, MO! We couldn't be happier with the recent direction our lives have taken. We really love the area and are settling in great.
Another announcement that I need to make is we're expecting a baby girl in Sept!!!!! We're overjoyed! Rusty is finally getting his girl...and this is the LAST one for us! LOL. I think four children is plenty! I'm very nervous to be having a girl but at the same time it'll be nice to attempt to even things out around here!
We'll be going to look for new daycares in the next couple of weeks...time for Daddy to give up Mr. Mom duties and head back to an office! haha! I am not sure how Caleb is going to like that but hopefully he'll do ok!
I will try to blog more now that things are settling down a bit. School and work keep me pretty busy and now that summer is here when I am not doing one of those two things we have family time! We spend a lot of time outdoors...the men in the house love it, and I am adjusting!
Much Love

Life Happens!

No pictures to post this time around. Soon, I hope. Rusty has gotten a new camera so he's busy trying to figure that out and hopefully once he does we will be able to post new updated photo's that are of better quality. The camera he had been using was over 8 years old!
There is not much to report right now. Caleb is now staying home with Daddy during the day and doing pretty well. He talks even more now than he did if you can believe that. Its so interesting to actually carry on a conversation with him now!
We do have some news to announce but we are waiting until certain people are out of ear shot. Sad that it has come to this with certain people, espeically those that are supposed to be family but thats the way life goes sometimes! However, this blog is not the place to air dirty laundry so I am not going to do it. Stay tuned for the announcement though!

Milestones

Well all kids have them, and Caleb just had a big one in the past couple weeks! We are finally sleeping in our big boy bed! He's doing great so far. He has figured out that he can get up now and it sometimes takes several tries to get him to stay in bed but I've heard that is every kid so I don't feel like he's doing anything out of the norm!
Here are a couple pictures I took of the big event! The first is his last night in his crib and the second is sleeping in his big boy bed.
He probably should have started a lot sooner, but he never did try to climb out of the crib and with us moving and everything we just hadn't found the right time. After the holidays were over we decided to give it a try and he loves it! Next we're working on potty training. We've never rushed him, let him do things in his own time. They're only little once and I don't feel they should be rushed to grow up in any way!
Starting the 1st of February Caleb will start staying home with Daddy during the day. It was a decision we wrestled back and forth with for quite a while. While its great he enjoys school it just makes more sense for him to stay home since Rusty's not working right now! He'll go back for pre-school or maybe even before if the job market improves!

Christmas 2009

Caleb and his Mickey stocking

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning! Caleb had a great time and loved everything that Santa brought him this year!

I'm ready for presents!
Is it time?

Santa brought lots of clothes and train engines!

Ripping the presents open!

Here mom, you can have the paper!

We hope everyone had a great holiday! We sure did, we are so blessed to have the life that we have and wouldn't trade it for anything!

We got word that Caleb will be changing classes at school. He's moving up to the 2 1/2 year old class room! He just turned 2 so we thought it was a little early but if the school says he's ready then they know better than we do! We're excited for him and we're sure he'll do great!

We have the twins here with us to ring in the New Year so I will post more pictures of their Christmas and their visit!
